Seminar for Maryland Physicians: New Waiver, New MPCP, New Opioid Developments

Wednesday, May 8, 2019
5:30 to 8:00 pm
Sheraton Baltimore North
Towson, Maryland

Effective January 1, 2019, a New Waiver permits Maryland to continue to set the amounts Maryland hospitals charge all payors, including Medicare. The New Waiver not only has a direct impact on hospitals, but it also will indirectly impact all other Maryland health care providers. This New Waiver also includes an innovative New Maryland Primary Care Program (MPCP) that boosts Medicare payments to Maryland primary care providers.

Besides addressing these initiatives, the Seminar will also focus on many new developments impacting the prescribing of opioids.

If you attend this seminar, you will learn the answers to these questions and more:

  • What is the New Waiver Test?
  • Why is it called Total Cost of Care?
  • Who can participate in the Maryland Primary Care Program?
  • What is a Care Transformation Organization?
  • What’s new in opioid regulations?
