Meghan E. Young, Member
Meghan is a Member in the Personal Injury practice group. Prior to joining Gordon Feinblatt, Meghan was an in-house attorney for a major insurance company, representing individuals being sued for personal injuries in result of automobile and premises liability accidents. She has litigated thousands of cases in courts throughout Maryland and obtained millions of dollars in settlements for her clients. Meghan uses her experience working for an insurance company to effectively represent individuals who have suffered injury in result of another person’s negligence.
In addition to representing individuals who have been injured in car accidents, Meghan has represented many individuals who have been injured in result of the negligence of a business, including: hair salons, nail salons, property management companies, gas stations, restaurants, and grocery stores.
Meghan was named to the Top 40 Under 40 Civil Plaintiff Trial Lawyers list by The National Trial Lawyers for 2020.
Representative Matters
Negotiated a $170,000 settlement on behalf of a man who slipped and fell on ice in his housing community. The man was holding a glass bottle at the time of the fall and he suffered an open wound on his left hand resulting in surgery. Following surgery, his finger was bent at a 90-degree angle and would require future therapy to help straighten his finger.
Litigated and obtained a $135,000 settlement on behalf of an Amazon delivery driver who slipped and fell while delivering a package to a customer’s home. The client fractured his arm.
Litigated and obtained a $50,000 settlement on behalf of an Amazon delivery driver who was bitten by customer’s dog while delivering a package.
