Promoting the advancement of diversity, both within the Firm and in the community, is of utmost importance to Gordon Feinblatt. The Firm strongly supports the growth of diversity in the law, including diversity in race, culture, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, language and experiences. Gordon Feinblatt believes that cultivating and maintaining diversity among its professional staff enhances the Firm’s ability to respond to the needs of a dynamic and increasingly diverse business community.
Gordon Feinblatt actively invests both human and capital resources in promoting the advancement of diversity. In 2005 the Firm established a Diversity Committee, consisting of seven attorneys who meet regularly and devote substantial time to exploring ways to improve diversity in the Firm, and support diversity-based initiatives in the community. The Diversity Committee regularly reports to the Firm’s Executive Committee to apprise the Firm’s management of the Committee’s activities and recommend ways for the Firm to remain a leader in supporting the growth of diversity in the legal profession.
Gordon Feinblatt has established itself as a recognized leader in the promotion of diversity in the law. Actively seeking to enhance and sustain diversity among its professional staff, Gordon Feinblatt uses the recruitment process to attract and hire qualified entry-level and lateral women and minority attorneys. The Firm devotes significant attention to mentoring its professional staff to retain and promote the advancement of women and minorities within the Firm. Gordon Feinblatt fosters diversity within the legal community by regularly hosting events to celebrate the growth of diversity, and by participating in and providing financial support to diversity-based programs and events organized by area law schools and professional organizations. The Firm encourages its attorneys to join and become active in diversity-centered community initiatives and organizations.
