Colleen O'Connor Collins, Associate

Colleen is an Associate in the Energy & Environmental law and EMERGE practice group, leveraging her diverse background in renewable energy, real estate, and financial transactions. With a background as a PV designer for multiple solar companies, Colleen brings a wealth of practical experience to her role, having contributed significantly to numerous solar projects. Her hands-on involvement has provided her with a deep understanding of the intricacies of renewable energy development.

In addition to her work in the solar industry, Colleen's dedication to the legal profession is evident through her role as a teaching assistant to one of our real estate attorneys at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey Law School. 

Colleen's previous engagement in venture capital adds another layer to her expertise. Through close collaboration with founders and companies, she gained insights into business strategy, negotiation, and partnership development. This background uniquely positions her to offer innovative solutions and foster strategic relationships within the EMERGE group.

Colleen holds a JD from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey Law School, while dually earned an MBA from Johns Hopkins University Carey School of Business, further enhancing her understanding of financial transactions and business strategy. 

Additionally, her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art underscores her creativity and interdisciplinary approach to problem-solving.
