Maryland Fixing the SREC Market presented by Todd Chason, Chair of Gordon Feinblatt's Energy and Environmental Practice, along with John Finnerty, Brett Waikart, Sara Rafalson, and Harry Warren.
The Maryland SREC market is currently significantly over-supplied. This issue has occurred in other states, and each has changed their RPS programs in order to either increase demand or limit supply of SRECs and bring the market back into balance. This panel will discuss how SREC oversupply has affected project development and programs like community solar, the status of the PJM queue, some of the options available to "right the ship" in Maryland.
