Gordon Feinblatt LLC Welcomes Paul N. DeSantis to Energy and Environmental Group

Gordon Feinblatt is pleased to announce that Paul N. De Santis has joined the Firm as Counsel.  Paul represents clients regarding environmental compliance and permitting matters, as well as land use and zoning issues. Paul has extensive experience regarding National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits, including permit development and compliance. His litigation experience includes civil and administrative enforcement cases and judicial review proceedings in permitting matters.

 Prior to joining Gordon Feinblatt, Paul was an Assistant Attorney General representing the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE). He provided legal counsel regarding a wide range of environmental issues including air, radiation, water, and land matters. Paul represented MDE in environmental enforcement actions, defended various NPDES permits issued by MDE, drafted numerous appellate briefs and presented argument before the Maryland Court of Appeals and Court of Special Appeals. Prior to his departure, Paul defended challenges brought by citizen groups to Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permits issued by the Department, and obtained a favorable decision from the Court of Appeals.

Paul received his J.D. from The University of Maryland School of Law and his B.A. from Franklin & Marshall College. He is admitted to practice in Maryland.  After graduation from law school, Paul was a Judicial Clerk for the Honorable Raymond Thieme III and subsequently, the Honorable Clayton Greene, Jr. for the Maryland Court of Special Appeals.

Gordon Feinblatt's Energy and Environmental Group represents clients in a wide range of energy and environmental matters including power development, environmental response and urban development.   Paul joins Todd Chason, Michael Powell, Margaret Witherup and David Beugelmans, who offer a wide breadth of experience and knowledge on all aspects of energy and environmental law.  Gordon Feinblatt's clients include manufacturers, developers, lenders, energy suppliers and environmental companies.
