Chase is an Associate in the Employee Benefits/ERISA Legal Boutique.
Chase Tweel assists the Employee Benefits and ERISA Team* with his experience in a variety of single employer and multiemployer retirement and health and welfare plans, with an emphasis on plan design and compliance with ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code. Chase has extensive experience with plan governance and fiduciary matters, benefit issues in collective bargaining, plan mergers, TPA and record keeper conversions, plan investments, reporting and disclosure, QDROs, service provider contracts, and drafting plan documents, summary plan descriptions, amendments and policies. Chase also helps group health plans comply with the ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and other legal requirements.
While attending the University of North Carolina School of Law, Chase was a member of the Dean's List and served as an Articles Editor of the North Carolina Banking Institute and Journal.
