Sara Y. Lucas, Associate
Sara is an Associate in the firm's Litigation and Securities practice groups.
Sara has a broad range of experience in handling cases in state and federal trial and appellate courts and through alternative dispute resolution. Sara handles a wide variety of claims on behalf of institutions and individual clients.
Sara brings extensive experience in litigating complex commercial disputes. This includes handling cases involving contracts, torts, trademarks, trade secrets, copyright infringement, securities law issues, partnership and corporate disputes, derivative actions and employment actions. Among these are Fair Labor Standards Act violations, wage claims, improper termination, employment discrimination, retaliation and real estate disputes.
Sara also has experience litigating family law cases with complex economic issues and contentious child custody and support issues.
Finally, Sara maintains a comprehensive pro bono practice of family law cases, guardianship cases, estate planning, among others. Sara is a panel attorney with Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service’s Judicare Program.
Prior to joining Gordon Feinblatt, she was an Associate at another large law firm focusing on business and securities litigation. She was a Judicial Clerk for the Hon. Douglas R.M. Nazarian of the Maryland Court of Special Appeals.
Sara received her J.D. cum laude from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.
In her spare time, Sara is an avid beach volleyball player and a dedicated yogi.
