Devin has a broad background in employee benefits and executive compensation.
Devin is Counsel in the Benefits/ERISA law practice in which he focuses on employee benefits and executive compensation. He has a broad background in both tax-qualified and nonqualified plans, health and welfare plans, as well as fiduciary, transactional and executive compensation (including Code Section 409A) issues. Devin has experience with regard to employee stock ownership plans ("ESOPs"), plan drafting, implementation, compliance and correction (both qualified plan corrections through the Employee Plans Compliance Resolution System and Section 409A corrections).
Devin counsels private and public sector clients with regard to plan design and administration, executive compensation arrangements, employer deductions relating to performance-based compensation, pension plan de-risking, and QDRO review.
Devin has a diverse background that includes seven years in private practice, a year as in-house counsel, and an internship with the U.S. Department of Labor.
