Marc P. Blum, Of Counsel

After qualifying as a Certified Public Accountant in Maryland and serving two years as a Captain on the U.S. Army General Staff, Marc joined Gordon Feinblatt in 1972. As a member of the firm's Trusts & Estates practice group, he gives to Gordon Feinblatt and its clients extensive experience in complex tax and estate valuation issues as well as a unique understanding of the problems faced by the closely held business owner when planning their estate. He also has argued and won significant estate and income tax cases in the U.S. Tax Court.
Marc has written tax- and estate-related articles for the Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Taxation, The Tax Advisor, Estate Planning and Tax Notes, and is the author of the Tax Management Portfolio titled Estate Tax Payments and Liabilities.
Marc is a Trustee of United World Colleges - USA and is a member of the Board of Visitors for the Dean of the University of Maryland Medical School and the Yale School of Engineering.
He was President of the Board of Trustees of the McDonogh School and serves on several charity and business investment committees and boards.
