Coppel
Larry Coppel is a member and chairs the Firm’s Bankruptcy and Reorganization & Real Estate Workouts and Restructuring Practice Groups. He has maintained a diverse practice in complex business bankruptcy and workout cases and has extensive experience representing lenders, debtors, creditors’ committees, trustees and other parties. He is a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy, a Fellow of the Maryland Bar Foundation and has received recognition for his specialty in every edition of The Best Lawyers in America since its first publication.
Larry founded and was the first President of the Bankruptcy Bar Association for the District of Maryland. He also served as Chair of the Banking, Bankruptcy and Business Law Committee of the Baltimore City Bar Association. Larry is a member of the Liaison Committee of the United States Bankruptcy Court and United States District Court for the District of Maryland. He was a member of the Panel of Trustees for the District of Maryland from 1979 to 1992 and holds memberships in the American Bankruptcy Institute, National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees and Turnaround Management Association. He is a member of the faculties of the annual Mid-Atlantic Institute on Bankruptcy and Reorganization Practice and MICPEL Advanced Bankruptcy Institute and is a frequent lecturer at other bankruptcy programs.
